Shabby Easter

Hi girls,
Challenge 10 is up at Lets get Shabby and it's all about A SHABBY EASTER!!!

We want to see all that Easter Shabby -ness!!

(Now do we hear a few of you say...you dont celebrate Easter??)
(Have a look at some of the DT creations and take your inspiration from them)

Challenge 10 is nu op Let's get Shabby en gaat helemaal over een Shabby pasen.
Ook al vier je geen pasen kijk dan eens wat het designteam heeft gemaakt en haal daar je inspiratie uit.

Bird House

After a long cold winter I can't wait till spring comes...
I'm a designer for a Dutch store and when I saw they have some birdhouses on the spring collection I took one home and resyled it. I really love the way it turned out.
I painted it gold and used the new (fabric)papers and flowerribbons from Dear Lizzy.
Then I put some flowers on it. I can feel the spring now:)

Na een lange koude winter kan ik niet wachten tot de lente komt...
Ik ontwerp en restyle voor een brocant, vintage winkeltje en toen ik in de lente collectie de vogelhuisjes zag heb ik er 1 meegenomen naar huis en heb hem heerlijk opgepimpt. Ik vind hem helemaal geweldig geworden:)
Ik heb het huisje goud geverft en het nieuwe (stof)papier en bloemenkant gebruikt van Dear Lizzy. Als ik er naar kijk krijg ik echt het lentegevoel!!!

As gardens are usually full of a mix a flowers you will need to include a variety of at least five flowers on your creation.

Maak een Shabby tuin op je project waarbij je een quote gebruikt uit het boek Alice in Wonderland. Een tuin is meestal vol met verschillende bloemen dus we vragen je om een mix van op zijn minst 5 bloemen te gebruiken.

een website.....

Omdat ik toch wel een hoop vragen krijg over de serviezen die ik beschilder en niet iedereen hier in de buurt woont heb ik een website gemaakt speciaal voor mijn serviezen. Je vindt hier alle informatie, je kunt er je eigen unieke servies samenstellen en vindt er alle informatie over de workshops.
Ik zou het leuk vinden als je een kijkje neemt en laat weten wat je er van vindt.

It's up....

Challenge 8 at Let's get Shabby.....

Well it's all about those heart-string tugging letters, child notes, vintage war loves lost and won etc etc....these are just examples!!

Whatever you chose, your creation must contain a letter/s or note/s that you've
written or been written by you or others living or passed.

Put your Shabby Valentine style into a wonderful creation!!

Het gaat deze maand helemaal over Valentijnsdag.
Maak een Shabby creatie en verwerk daarin een brief, kleine notieties enz.

Just a note......

To let our shabby players that the site is having a few loading issues at the moment. It has got something to do with the visitors counter in our side bar link. We could delete it but then that is something we really really want to avoid doing as we love seeing just how many people pop into our site. The site is loading but it has been taking longer to do so. Please bear with us as we try and sort out the issue. Click on the shabby link and then go of and grab a coffee or do something else for a few minutes or so I am sure that you will find the wait worthwhile especially as we will be announcing the latest challenge winner, honorable mentions, our next sponsor and guest dter along with the next challenge over the next couple of days.

Scraplift

Op een Franse site is er een wedstrijd waar je layouts moet liften. De eerste layout die gelift werd was van Ingvild Bolme en de tweede is mijn layout "Libelle weet 't".
Ik kon mijn ogen niet geloven... ik telde net 129 layouts!!! Ongelofelijk veel!!!
Er zitten werkelijk prachtige layouts bij. Hieronder zie je er een paar.
Als je ze allemaal wilt zien kijk dan even hier

On a France site there is a challenge/concours to lift layouts. The first lift was a page from Ingvild Bolme and the second lift is my layout "Libelle weet 't"
There are 129 girls who lifted my layout!!!! I really can't belief it... There are so many gorgeous pages. I can't show them all but you can see all of them here:

from playground to kindergarten.....

Annemijn wordt over 2 weken 4 jaar en mag vanaf morgen naar de basisschool.
Vandaag was de laatste dag voor Annemijn op de peuterspeelzaal. Het was een gezellige middag en we hebben er een feestje van gemaakt. Alle kinderen hebben prachtig voor haar gezongen en ik zat erbij met een brok in mijn keel. Wat gaat het toch snel. Mijn kleine meid naar de "grote school".
Ik had voor alle kinderen een beker beschilderd met afbeeldingen van jongens en meisjes hand in hand. Op de achterkant heb ik de naam van de kinderen geschilderd. De juffen kregen een kop en schotel met dezelfde afbeeldingen. Ze vonden het allemaal prachtig.

Today was the last day for Annemijn at the playgroup. Tomorrow she will start on the kindergarten. We made a little party for her and all the kids where singing happy songs for her. I was a little emotional. She is groing so fast.
I painted for all the kids from the playground a cup with on the back there name. They loved it!
